If you need more help, you’re not alone.

This may be the right choice for you if:

  • Your child has a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, or Developmental Delay, or you are in the process of pursuing a diagnosis.

  • You struggle to keep your child safe because of their behavior on a daily or weekly basis.

  • You want play-based, holistic, therapeutic behavior support for your child.

  • You are interested in parent support, coaching, and education, and you are ready to participate in therapy sessions with your child.

 What I Can Offer You

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) that specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is based on the science of learning theory - how human being learn from their environment! Many clinics offer ABA services, but we do it a little differently. Usually in ABA, your child works with a behavior technician, who delivers the services or programs and is supervised by the BCBA. For some families, this works really well! At ShineSpace, you will only work with a BCBA. ABA is often used to support children with Autism, but people from all walks of life can and have benefit from ABA therapy.

As a certified teacher, and BCBA, I am able to use a wide range of evidence based practices to teach your child new skills, help you manage their behavior, and support you in your parenting journey.

What will sessions look like?

In play-based therapy, it will look like playtime! We might do art, read a book, build with blocks, eat a snack, or play a game. During those activities I will show you how to weave in the goals we have identified so your child can learn through play. In our unique format, parents or caretakers are always included in sessions so you can see exactly what we are doing, and do the same at home. This extends the therapeutic reach of my services, and ensures children are practicing and learning with the people who matter most, in the places that matter most: their family, at home.

How it Works

Schedule a free 30-minute discovery call, so we can decide together if this is the right choice for you. If it isn’t, I’ll do my best to provide referrals and resources to support you.

Once we have decided to move forward, we will schedule a 2-hour intake assessment. With information gathered from you and from the assessment, we will identify 3-5 goals to work on during sessions.

During our one-on-one sessions, we will work towards the goals we have identified through games, lessons, and playful practice. We heavily emphasize parent participation and input, because while I can work with your child 2-4 hours per week, you are the one with them 24 hours a day.

I provide the services directly to families during 1-2 sessions per week out of my office, with the goal of YOU feeling confident to use the therapeutic techniques I model with your child outside of the sessions. Let’s create room for your child to shine - at home, in the community, and in their world.
